Jewelry Care
Mountain Adornment jewelry is made from fine silver (99.9% solid silver) as well as other delicate materials like fallen tree branches and river stones. It is important to handle the jewelry with care to maintain its beauty and longevity. The following tips will help you care for your jewelry:
Avoid Exposure to Water
It is recommended to avoid showering, bathing or swimming while wearing your Piece of Nature Jewelry made from fallen branches or river stones. Although they are sealed they may loose their integrity if exposed to water. It is best to dry your jewelry immediately if exposure does occur.
While fine silver can get wet it is not recommended to wear in pools, hot tubs or hot springs as the chemicals and minerals in their water can tarnish your jewelry. If this happens, rubbing your jewelry with the polishing cloth provided will help remove tarnish.
How to Store Jewelry
Silver doesn't tend to tarnish if worn frequently. When it is not being worn it should be stored in a dry environment or in a sealed plastic bag to prevent oxidization. The solid silver used may develop a patina over time, which adds to its unique character. However if you wish to remove the patina you can use the polishing cloth provided with your purchase.
Repairs and Cleaning
Mountain Adornment offers free repairs on jewelry for 6 month after purchase. After that a small fee may be charged. You can send back any silver jewelry for cleaning / polishing for a $15 charge plus return shipping. Please not that chains cannot be repaired if broken, only clasps can be replaced.
By following these care instructions you can help keep your silver jewelry looking its best as it was designed to last a lifetime
